Pickles, conserves and curd are the trifectas that complete meals in Indian households. Pickles in India generally employed the use of oil to preserve the vegetables and was almost always combined with a few spices. Their shelf life depended on the produce used, some lasting just a few days and others could be eaten years later and still be delicious! Here at The Indian Pantry, we wanted to bring these flavours to you but also do things a little differently. We are committed to supporting local farmers and reducing our carbon footprint as much as we can! We use products that you would find at the farmer’s market – all organic, all grown close to the city. As the seasons change, our pickles will as well!
